The D.O.M.E Summer School is developed in the context of the project D.O.M.E: ‘Design your Own Multimedia Learning Environment’, and is designed for teaching professionals in STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

The course is designed to be highly engaging, creative and interactive with an enhanced practical component. It will introduce teachers to the creation of DIY cardboard planetaria, their pedagogical relevance and will provide a toolkit to support the authoring of planetarium shows for their students. D.O.M.E educational material target students from all years of schooling.

The project’s aim is to empower students by involving them in building a low-cost planetarium system and developing presentations that will engage the local community and allow them to benefit from the planetarium and its associated resources. Students will use this opportunity to increase their competence profiles as well as the science capital of the members of their community.

This course is organised in the framework of D.O.M.E project and the teacher training activities of the European School Innovation Academy.
