Join us for the StAnD Summer School 2024!

The school is developed in the context of the project: Students as Planetary Defenders – StAnD.

Its main objectives are:

  • to introduce teachers to STEΑM activities related to meteors, asteroids and Planetary Defence
  • to provide them resources and support to implement the activities with their students, and to create their own educational material.

The STEAM activities can engage your students in a search for small bodies in our Solar System, like asteroids, meteors and micrometeorites. You and your students will have the opportunity to study the meteor phenomena from the very origins: their parental bodies (asteroids, comets), what happens when these bodies meet the Earth (meteors) and, finally, and what’s left of them when they hit the ground (meteorites).

Join us and learn how to bring the subject of Planetary Defence to your school!

This school is included in the 2024 training activities of the European School Innovation Academy – ESIA
