STEMMOS project aims to create an educational program for educators to teach Earth, Moon, and Mars (EMMO) science to students and enhance their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) competencies. The project emphasizes practical, hands-on activities that enhance the learner’s creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

STEMMOS training program blends scientific accuracy with engaging, hands-on learning approaches, empowering educators with the knowledge and tools to teach cutting-edge space science in schools. Schools and training centers implementing the STEMMOS educational programs will foster a culture of scientific curiosity and innovation, reaching a wider community such parents, policymakers, and the general public through outreach activities, events, and digital platforms to raise awareness and support for STEAM education and environmental stewardship.

STEMMOS will organizing national and international training sessions, including a summer school in 2026, to equip educators with essential skills. An online portal will offer several training modules in a MOOC format, available to all interested educators. At the end of the project, a Space Science Festival will take place in Ireland to showcase the project’s results and achievements, highlighting leaners’s engagement with space science.
