The Cosmic Light EDU kit (coordinated by NUCLIO) is part of the Cosmic Light Awareness, one of the key projects of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in the framework of the International Year of Light 2015. Its main objective was to involve schools around the globe in awareness campaigns related to the topic of light in its various aspects.

The project assembled a tool kit, the Cosmic Light EDU Kit, with simple tools to address the thematic of light: light as a source of life, light as a source of knowledge, light from the past, light from the future, light for inclusion, colours we see and colours we don’t see. A special component was design and incorporated in the kit for children with visual impairment.

The project reached people all over the world, allowing for a rich cultural interchange of experiences. The kit was accompanied by the promotion of teacher training actions (online or face-to-face).
