BRIDGES – Policy Experimentation Action aims to demonstrate how education systems can promote new levels of awareness and contribute to a more sustainable future by creating innovative pathways for the development of sustainability competences. The project focuses on teaching for Sustainability Citizenship (SC), a concept that integrates sustainability principles into the roles, responsibilities, and rights of citizens. It promotes a form of citizenship that values the balance between economic, social, and environmental dimensions in order to ensure a sustainable future for all.

The project methodology is built on three main pillars: the adoption of a whole-school approach to foster sustainability citizenship; the evolving role of teachers within this process; and the development of an effective assessment methodology based on common mechanisms and tools.

Coordination: IEP – Institute of Educational Policy (Greece).
