AstronoMine is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union dedicated to increasing interest in astronomy amongst young students and primary education teachers.
AstronoMine’s main objectives are the promotion of astronomy in schools through game-based learning, improve the quality of education in the fields of STEM and enhance teachers’ digital skills.
The project will produce 2 concrete results:
– The Teachers’ Manual: a comprehensive Manual to help teachers introduce the topic of astronomy in their classrooms.
– AstronoMine World in Minecraft: a dedicated Minecraft world to introduce many topics of astronomy to students.
The project is coordinated by the Drumcondra Education Centre – Ireland – and includes partners from Cyprus (Hearthands Solutions), Greece (Private School Themistoklis S.A), Netherlands (Atermon B.V.), Portugal (NUCLIO) and Spain (Elhuyar Fundazioa).
