Celeste - NUCLIO

The CELESTE project was born on the 3rd of December 2016, at Pedra do Sal Environmental Interpretation Center (CIAPS), São Pedro do Estoril, Cascais, with the aim of engaging students, teachers, schools, parents and the general public in several activities in the field of astronomy.

It is coordinated by NUCLIO with the support of the Municipality of Cascais and carries out activities at CIAPS and other places in the municipality, including schools.

CELESTE develops a wide range of activities open to everyone: astronomy sessions, activities for families, integrated and applied teacher training in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and much more. The project invites families to learn together, experimenting with innovative materials and equipment, and performing astronomical observations with in-situ or remote telescopes.
