Science on Stage is a network for STEM (Science, Technology and Mathematics) teachers focusing on the exchange of best practice teaching ideas. The ultimate goal is to improve STEM teaching by supporting educators in their professional development and growth..
Science on Stage Portugal is responsible for the Science on Stage activities in our country.
It is responsible for the organization, dissemination and implementation of national events, as well as the selection of the best projects developed by teachers to represent Portugal in European events. This selection is made during the National Festivals, in a process that guarantees high-quality participation..
Science on Stage Portugal was initially coordinated by Ciência Viva – National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture. From 2013 to 2015, it was represented by a collaboration between NUCLIO and Planetarium Calouste Gulbenkian – Ciência Viva Center. Since 2016, Science on Stage Portugal has been coordinated exclusively by NUCLIO.
